Cash for Kids

Cash for Kids

CFM Radio's Cash for Kids is proud to welcome 2 new patrons who have agreed to be ambassadors to the Charity. Andy Gorski and Ade Adebisi from Whitehaven RLFC have adopted Cash for Kids as thier charity.

Each year we hope to have thousands of pounds available for grants to children’s charities throughout the CFM transmission area. All the money is raised locally and spent locally and goes to children and young people, under 18 throughout the CFM area:

With mental, physical or sensory disabilities, with behavioural or psychological disorders, living in poverty or situations of deprivation, suffering through distress, abuse or neglect

In 2008 we raised over 126,000 for local children, in 2009 we are well on our way to raising at least £200,000!

Throughout the year there are many events which generate the money which then goes to deserving causes. Many individuals, listeners and organisations want to help by holding their own events. Twice a year, the trustee’s consider all the applications for grants. Groups which have benefited in the past range from riding of the disabled, autistic and deaf groups, sports and music clubs, playgroup and family centres.

Demand for grants always exceeds the money available and each year, CFM's Cash for Kids strives to raise more cash.

If you would like to raise money for CFM's Cash for Kids, please fill in the form below or call Cash for Kids on 01228 818964.
