 Our Engineering Heritage in Miniature      (Conventions/Seminars)

The West Cumbria Guild Of Model Engineers are having a model engineering exhibition for one month from the 6th of June to the 11th of July in the Helena Thompson Museum Workington. Models include planes, trains and automobiles.

On Friday there is the Bewcastle School Big Sing at Roadhead Hall and back by popular demand, RITZ. Doors and bar open at 6:30pm for 7pm start. Tickets are £4 for adults and children under 16 £2. For more details call 016977 48662.
 Charity Comedy Night  8pm    (Charity)
Location: Workington Royal British Legion
On Friday there is a Charity Comedy Night with Chubby Brown Tribute Act at the Workington Royal British Legion from 8pm. Tickets are £10 and available from the club and proceeds will go to supporting armed forces charities.
 Crazy Costa Night  7pm to 9pm    (Community)

On Friday there is a Crazy Costa Night at Costa in Workington from 7pm to 9pm open to all young people aged from 12 to 18 years old. Entry is free and the event will feature karaoke, a quiz and music.
 Fir Ends School World Cup Theme Fete   6pm to 8pm    (Community)
Location: Fir Ends School, Smithfield.
On Friday, Fir Ends School in Smithfield are hosting their World Cup Themed Fete from 6pm to 8pm with games, competitions, burgers, hotdogs, ice creams and more. Entry is free and all are welcome.
 Scarecrow Weekend  11am to 5pm daily    (Community)
Location: St. Cuthbert's Church, Plumbland (nr Aspatria)
From Friday to Sunday St Cuthbert's Church at Plumbland are holding their Scarecrow Weekend. The church is open daily from 11am to 5pm and admission is free. There is disabled access and refreshments available too. There will also be the Service of Holy Communion at 11am on the Sunday and all are welcome.
