 Our Engineering Heritage in Miniature      (Conventions/Seminars)

Location: Helena Thompson Museum Workington
The West Cumbria Guild Of Model Engineers are having a model engineering exhibition for one month from the 6th of June to the 11th of July in the Helena Thompson Museum Workington. Models include planes, trains and automobiles.

Location: Egremont
On Saturday, Emily Allstars Drama and Dance School are performing Macmillan Musicals in aid of Macmillan Cancer Relief in the Egremont Market Hall at 4:30pm. Tickets are £3 for adults and £2 for children with all the proceeds going to Macmillan. For tickets call Emily on 07590 044526 or you can buy tickets on the day!
 Broughton Strawberry Cream Teas  2pm    (Community)

On Saturday Broughton village hall are serving Strawberry Teas from 2pm with a tombola, cake stall and raffle in aid of the village hall.
 Co-operative in your Community Day  10am to 4pm    (Community)
Location: Wigton
On Saturday there is the Co-operative in your Community Day in the Main Hall of Wigton Local Links Centre at the Wigton Market Hall from 10am to 4pm. At the event you can try your luck at the Coconut Shy, Tin Can Alley, Ball in a Bucket and Clown Striker. There will also be live music, African dancing and 'recycled' fashion show, design a 'Fair-trade T-Shirt' competition, face painting and more! Entry is free with lunch and refreshments provided.
 Lawson Masonic Hall Open Day  10am to 4pm    (Community)
Location: Brampton
On Saturday there is an Open Day at the Lawson Masonic Hall at Craw Hall, Brampton from 10am to 4pm. The event will reveal the history behind the freemasons and the charities they support as well as displays, guided tours and refreshments plus the Assistant Provincial Grand Master for the Province of Cumberland and Westmorland, Keith Young will also be present to speak to visitors on the day. All are welcome.
 Glassonbury 2010  From 1pm    (Festivals)
Location: Glasson Rangers RLFC, Ewanrigg Road, Maryport
On Saturday it's Glassonbury at Glasson Rangers RLFC on Ewanrigg Road, Maryport. Entry is free with five live bands (bands are AWOL, South Quay, Mingos Locker, With Lights Out and Broken English) in aid of Help the Heroes and other local charities.
 Lakes Rocks  2pm to 7pm    (Musical Performances)
Location: Lakes College West Cumbria, Workington
On Saturday there is the all day music event Lakes Rocks designed to celebrate the local music scene at the Lakes College West Cumbria from 2pm to 7pm, entry is £5 and the event has easy access by bus and plenty of free parking.

 Wetheral Village Fete  12noon    (Outdoor Fun)
Location: Wetheral Village Green
On Saturday there is Wetheral Village Fete on the Green. The fete will be opened by John Stevenson at 12noon and includes teas in the marquee, BBQ, splitz dancing, grand raffle, beer tent, side shows and much more!
 Summer Fete  2pm    (Religious/Spiritual)
Location: Westnewton Village Hall
On Saturday, St Matthew’s Church at Westnewton will be holding their Summer Fete in Westnewton Village Hall from 2pm. There will be afternoon teas, tombola, a raffle, homemade cakes and jams and many other stalls. All are welcome.
