The West Cumbria Guild Of Model Engineers are having a model engineering exhibition for one month from the 6th of June to the 11th of July in the Helena Thompson Museum Workington. Models include planes, trains and automobiles.

Location: Branthwaite Care Home
On Saturday, Branthwaite Care Home in Workington are having a Garden Party from 2pm. The Garden Party includes various stalls, including bric-a-brac, cake stall, collectables, jewellery and more. For more information call 01900 67111.
 Go To The Ritz!  From 3:30pm    (Charity)
Location: Carlisle
On Saturday the Wigton Road Methodist Church will step back in time and be transformed into the Ritz Restaurant. Strawberry Teas will be served at 3:30pm with the Palm Tree menu will include a selection of sandwiches, scones, pastries, cream cakes plus tea and coffee. Admission including the full tea is £5 with all proceeds to the charity, Smiles 200 Hope Club. To reserve a table call Carlisle 527094.
 Middlebie Community Centre Duck Race  2pm    (Charity)
Location: Middlebie Burn
On Saturday there is the Middlebie Community Centre Duck Race starting at 2pm. Duck Race starts down Middlebie Burn, finishing post at Satur Mill in time for teas on the lawn. Ducks available @ £1 on the day and all are welcome.
 Salvation Army Jumble Sale  10am    (Charity)
Location: Whitehaven
On Saturday the Salvation army on Catherine Street in Whitehaven are holding a Jumble Sale from 10am. Admission is 60p including a cup of tea and a biscuit and all are welcome.
 Special Anniversary Evening Variety Show  7pm    (Charity)
Location: Calder House Hotel, Seascale
On Friday, there is a Special Evening Variety Show at the Calder House Hotel in Seascale as part of Steve and Andy's 10th Anniversary Spectacular. The night starts from 7pm and also includes a hot a cold buffet. Tickets are £25 each which must be purchased in advance from the Hotel. £5 from every ticket sold will be donated to Hospice at Home West Cumbria.
 Appleby Carnival  Various    (Community)

Location: Appleby
This weekend it’s the Appleby Carnival. On Saturday the Carnival starts from 12:30pm with the Crowning of the Queen followed by the Parade at 1:30pm. At 2pm there will be Sports, Sideshows and other entertainment on football field followed by a Dance and Disco in the Marquee on football field at 8pm. On Sunday there will be the Primary School 7 aside Football from 10:30am, the Raft Race at 1:30pm, followed by the Duck Race at 2pm and the Raffle Draw at 2:30pm. All are welcome.
 Cockermouth Titans Family Fun Day  12:30pm to 7:30pm    (Community)
Location: Grassmoor Sports Club
On Saturday, there is the Cockermouth Titans ARLFC Family Fun Day that also features their Annual Presentations. They have two players selected to tour Russia with England and they are looking to increase club funds through this fund raising event that also features a BBQ, bouncy castle, gladiator duals and more at the Grassmoor Sports Club, Cockermouth from 12:30pm to 7:30pm. Tickets are £10 (ubder 16's £5) and can be booked by calling Karen Henson on 01900 822285.
 Yewdale School Summer Gala  12noon to 3pm    (Community)
Location: Carlisle
On Saturday Yewdale PTA have organised the Summer Gala at Yewdale School, open from 12noon to 3pm. Dads can sign up for the football tournament, and the day also includes a bouncy castle, auction and raffle, stalls, children’s entertainer and more.
 An Evening of Clairvoyance  7:30pm    (Religious/Spiritual)
Location: Eden Spiritualist Church, Compton Street, Carlisle
On Saturday there is an Evening of Clairvoyance with medium Anne Halliday at the Eden Spiritualist Church on Compton Street in Carlisle. Doors open at 7pm for 7:30pm start. Entry is £2 with proceeds to charity.
